You simply work one pump of the serum into your damp hair and then style as usual. It works to repair split ends during the styling process. For ultimate shine, they recommend that you finish with a curling or flat iron. I love the scent of the Smoothing Shine Serum. It has a very light, floral fragrance that is really pleasant and it left my hair feeling very soft and smooth after I blow dried it. It's also very light and didn't weigh my hair down at all. I have fairly limp hair so that is really important when I'm styling.
