My eyes have always been my favorite feature. Most of my friends and family have brown eyes and I've always felt very lucky to have blue eyes. I love to accent my eyes with cosmetics and never go anywhere without at least mascara on. Most days I also include shadow and sometimes eyeliner too.

You can imagine how unhappy I was when the first signs of aging I noticed were around my eyes. It seems as though those fine lines get a bit more noticeable each year. It's such a sensitive area that I'm really not sure exactly what to do to help with the lines. I do use a serum or lotion under my eyes but I wanted to do something extra to try to address these fine lines.

But what to do? Most of the beauty care products I've tried specifically tell you not to use them near your eyes. How can I address that problem area and try to reduce those fine wrinkles I so despise when nothing can be used near your eyes?

The Papaya Gentle Eye Peel by Skin by Ann Web was very easy to use. You simply apply it to your eye area in the evening (or your entire face if you want to). Then you let the peel soak for 10 to 45 minutes. After, massage off with a warm, wet washcloth and apply a moisturizer. It's very simple to use and is extremely gentle. Because it's so gentle, it can be used as an all over facial peel for sensitive skin.

The pineapple, sugar cane and lemon extracts help to brighten your skin. The green tea, algae and fennel help to reduce puffiness. The rose and geranium oils sooth the delicate tissue around the eye. The scent is very light and overall is fresh and clean smelling.  I love having something that specifically targets my problem areas.  It's very gentle on my skin and even around my eyes, I had no irritation or sensitivity at all.  I am not sure about long term results but my eyes certainly felt less puffy after using this peel.

Relax with The Tea Maker from Takeya - Great for Mother's Day

What could a mom want more than a bit of relaxation on Mother's Day. As an overworked mom, I can promise you that relaxation is high on my list of gift requests. Chocolate adds inches to my hips. Flowers die. Relaxation is what I crave but it's not always easy to relax with the kids yelling, the phone ringing and the husband demanding attention.

The Takeya Tea Maker is an interesting new product that allows you to brew any type of tea without worries of that happening. Just place the tea into the infuser which is attached to a removable, rotating lid. Pour your hot water into the pitcher and reattach the infuser and lid. That's all there is too it. The loose tea stays in the infuser and you pour the tea into your cup to drink. There is even a sleeve to slip your tea maker into that will help your tea stay warmer.  It holds 24 ounces of tea and can easily make several cups.

The Takeya Tea Maker is made of BPA free plastic so no worries about what's getting into your tea while you're brewing it. I definitely like the Takeya Tea Maker. It's very easy to make tea in and I like that I can use it for any type of tea since the form I buy my tea in changes regularly. I also like that I can add more hot water to it as I want to to stretch out the amount of tea I get out of it.
