Relax with The Tea Maker from Takeya - Great for Mother's Day

What could a mom want more than a bit of relaxation on Mother's Day. As an overworked mom, I can promise you that relaxation is high on my list of gift requests. Chocolate adds inches to my hips. Flowers die. Relaxation is what I crave but it's not always easy to relax with the kids yelling, the phone ringing and the husband demanding attention.

At the end of the day, one thing remains constant no matter what else happens. The last hour before bedtime will find me curled up in a chair with a good book or television program and a relaxing cup of chamomile tea. I like a variety of different types of chamomile tea. I use bags, loose leaf or flowering teas depending on my mood.

I love starting with loose leaf or flowering tea because I think it really gives the tea a more intense flavor. Loose leaf or flowering tea generally has real buds and leaves in it not ground up pieces of tea like tea bags often do. The only thing I don't like about using loose leaf or flowering teas is that the pieces sometimes end up in my tea.

The Takeya Tea Maker is an interesting new product that allows you to brew any type of tea without worries of that happening. Just place the tea into the infuser which is attached to a removable, rotating lid. Pour your hot water into the pitcher and reattach the infuser and lid. That's all there is too it. The loose tea stays in the infuser and you pour the tea into your cup to drink. There is even a sleeve to slip your tea maker into that will help your tea stay warmer.  It holds 24 ounces of tea and can easily make several cups.

The Takeya Tea Maker is made of BPA free plastic so no worries about what's getting into your tea while you're brewing it. It's made from a type of plastic called AcraGlass™ that offers glass-like clarity and doesn’t stain or retain odors and is dishwasher safe. It also has an airtight twist top lid so no worries about spills or leaks.

I definitely like the Takeya Tea Maker. It's very easy to make tea in and I like that I can use it for any type of tea since the form I buy my tea in changes regularly. I also like that I can add more hot water to it as I want to to stretch out the amount of tea I get out of it. Or I can leave it on the counter top until it's brewed full strength & then pour it in a glass and drink it cold over ice. This is definitely an all purpose tea maker.

Takeya makes a variety of tea makers, drink makers, jugs, pitchers and carafes.  They have a gorgeous pink glass water bottle that would make a great gift for Mother's Day.   $1 from the sale of each bottle goes to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. This is a gorgeous bottle that's very sleek in style and design.
