Most nights I enjoy cooking and making a homemade meal for my family. Unfortunately, there are a few nights that I work during the week and I'm not home to make dinner for everyone. There are also a few nights that the kids come after dinner time and need their own separate meal at 8pm after a ball game or after work. I'm not creating en entirely separate meal at 8pm. Just not happening.

On nights like that I turn to frozen meals. I've tried a lot of frozen meals in my lifetime and many of them leave me extremely disappointed. The main course is practically invisible and relatively tasteless. It doesn't even remotely resemble anything that I'd make my family for dinner and it's definitely not filling or delicious.

I had never tried Michael Angelo's frozen meals so when I was contacted to review them I was instantly curious. We're in the midst of baseball season so my son is always looking for a meal at 8pm when he comes home from a game. Michael Angelo's frozen meals use authentic Italian recipes and wholesome ingredients that you'd find in a real Italian kitchen. Each of meals is cooked from scratch every day. Meals are packaged and shipped within 36 hours of receiving the ingredients to make sure they're fresh and taste delicious! They never use artificial colors, flavors, fillers, chemical preservatives or additives so I trust these meals to feed my hungry family.

Michael Angelo's meals can be purchased in individual 11 ounce packages to feed one person or they can be purchased in 30-40 ounce entrees to feed your whole family. Their meals come in a great selection of Italian meals including chicken alfredo, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata, chicken cannelloni, chicken parmesan, four cheese lasagna, meat lasagna, lasagna with sausage, manicotti with sauce, shrimp scampi, vegetable lasagna, baked ziti with meatballs and stuffed tilapia. They also have other varieties that can be found at club stores and in natural food stores.

My grocery store only had two of the varieties of Michael Angelo's frozen meals - the Chicken Parmesan and the Eggplant Parmesan. We tried each of the varieties and they were absolutely delicious. They were a very good size and quite filling. They really did taste the way my homemade dinners would taste. The sauce was full of flavor and I could taste the herbs and spices in it. I would say, of the two, that my favorite was the Eggplant Parmesan.  It had real thick slices of eggplant and tons and tons of cheese.  Absolutely delicious!
