Get help in the kitchen from TeleBrands

I don't know about you, but as a busy mom, I want my time in the kitchen to be as easy as possible. Sure, there are days I enjoy making more complicated meals but after a day working at home and away from home, with a hungry family salivating in the other room, what I most want is anything that will make my dinner preparation routine easier.

I'm not a huge kitchen gadget person. I have a small kitchen without a lot of storage space. The house was built in 1865 and people just didn't need the amount of storage space today that we do. One of the things that takes up a lot of space in my kitchen is my colander. My family has 2 hungry teenagers and 2 adults in it so when I cook pasta or potatoes, I cook a BIG batch. I need a colander that can handle that volume. The only problem is that it means it's HUGE and takes up almost a full shelf on my cupboard.

I recently found a kitchen tool from TeleBrands called the Chef Basket. The Chef Basket can be used as a colander, steamer, or cooking basket. It can be used on the stove top when you're cooking, boiling, deep frying, steaming, poaching, blanching or par-boiling. I find that the Chef Basket makes a fantastic cooking basket for pasta. You simply place the basket inside your pot filled with water. Pour in your pasta & cook as normal.  I have almost two full boxes of pasta in the picture to the right.   When the pasta is done, just lift out the basket and pour your pasta into a serving bowl or back into the pot again. The handles stay cool to the touch even after using it in boiling water or hot oil so you can lift the basket out without pot holders.

When you're done using the Chef Basket, it folds completely flat to store it.  It takes up practically no room at all and does everything that my big, bulky colander does plus more!  This is definitely a time and space saver in my kitchen.
