It's time to shop for new work boots!

Spring is here and the snow is almost gone from our property. What that means is that it's time for us to get out into the yard and start working. There's brush that needs to be cleared up. There's raspberry & blackberry brambles that need to be trimmed back. There's trees that need to have branches cut off. There's a never ending supply of leaves, sticks and branches that need to be raked up and hauled away.

I may head out into the garden in a pair of sandals or bare feet but working in brush and woods calls for a different type of foot wear. Boots not only protect your feet from thorns, broken sticks, sharp rocks, or heaven forbid snakes but they also offer ankle support which is something you don't find in flip flops.

Marty's favorite brand of boots is Wolverine. They're durable, comfortable and still stylish. We always go for a darker color work boot because they seem to hide the wear better than a lighter color work boot. That means they tend to last longer for us. Wolverine boots last Marty for years. They're very well made.   They have a great selection of boots including ones that are waterproof and have steel toes depending on what type of work you'll be doing in them.

We find Wolverine boots at Sears in our area but they are sold at tons of different stores including JC Penney's and Dexter Shoe Outlets.  Check out the Whrrl of our shopping trip to see what we found!
