While technically we only have one Earth Day a year, making good choices is something we can do all the time. We try to incorporate earth friendly choices into our daily life. I think it's our responsibility to live so that our choices don't hurt the earth or any of its creatures as much as possible.
This Earth Day, several friends and I picked up trash up and down our road. During the winter, the snow covers up a lot of the garbage that people toss out of windows as they're driving along our road. Once the snow melts in April (or May), all of the trash is uncovered along the sides of the road and it looks disgusting. I really wish that people would stop tossing things out of the windows when driving. It would be great to see nothing on the ground come spring but flowers sprouting. Here are just a few photos of our greening up activity.
I was thrilled to be chosen the state leader for the B Kind 2 Earth Day Campaign here in Vermont. I hope that some of my friends who couldn't stop by and join us chose to B Kind 2 Earth in their towns as well. Stop by and visit the B Kind 2 Earth Facebook page.
I received no compensation for sharing this post or being state leader. I'm simply sharing a cause that's important to me.
