Movie night with Saw: The Final Chapter & Conagra Foods

Saw: The Final Chapter (Formerly Saw 3D)It's been a while since we had a good movie night so I thought tonight we'd give it a try. Sarah17 is a huge Saw fan. I like horror movies but have never watched the Saw movies. We decided to get Saw: The Final Chapter from the Redbox rental kiosk at Walmart. We decided to reserve it first online to make sure it was actually there when we wanted to pick it up.

While I was in Walmart, I decided to pick up a few things for dinner and snacks. In keeping with the rather gory theme of Saw: The Final Chapter, We decided we'd have Manwich *burgers* on buns (looks really bloody huh?), carrot sticks (crunchy like bones), Crunch n Munch (more crunching) and hot chocolate with Reddi-Whip (get it... whip?). ConAgraFoods has some really yummy stuff that fit in well with our theme for dinner.  Check out their Facebook page. We don't shop at Walmart all that often for dinner because ours doesn't have dairy or fresh meat, veggies or fruits but I do have do admit that their prices are really amazing for what they do carry.

The kids loved the dinner and snacks. Then we sent David13 upstairs to watch a more suitable movie since he's only 13 and we settled downstairs to watch Saw: The Final Chapter. Since I never watched the first Saw movies, Sarah17 filled me in on it. Basic premise is there are these people who have all done something wrong - lied, cheated, been dishonest, killed someone, etc. There is this crazy guy who has decided he needs to make them all pay for their mistakes and then learn a lesson they will never forget. Supposedly if they follow the rules properly they won't die and no one else will die but the pain and torture they go through is unbelievable and probably not something most people could go through. If they don't follow the rules and go through this horrible torture, people they love or care about will die horrible deaths instead.

I really enjoy horror movies. Marty and I watch them fairly regularly. However I will admit that I'm one of those people who spends the majority of the time with her eyes closed or her head hid under a blanket. If you're like that too then you can expect to spend the entire movie with your head under a blanket. This is really gory... really. Check out my whrrl....
