Check out Vera Bradley's new summer colors!

Despite the horrible snow outside on the ground right now, I know that soon enough spring and summer will arrive here in Vermont. With the warmer weather, my wardrobe will undergo a huge change. I'll put away the brown, navy and gray pieces that are the staples of my winter wardrobe and I'll bring out the greens, purples and lighthearted spring colors. It's a fashion ritual that I look forward to each spring.

One of my favorite parts of this ritual is updating my style a bit. While I have staples that I wear several years in a row, I do like to treat myself to new shoes and a handbag to keep my look fresh and up to date. Thankfully, Vera Bradley understand my need for change and has introduced the Summer 2011 colors just in time!

They've marked the arrival of warmer weather with four new signature colors for 2011 with beignets, the French Quarter, and plenty of jazz.  The four new designs are Watercolor, Deco Daisy, Viva La Vera & English Meadow.  Each new 2011 design features fun, bright colors that will certainly remind you of summer flowers.  I was lucky enough to receive Vera Bradley's Quick Draw bag in the Water Color pattern.

The Quick Draw bag is a cargo style bag that closes at the top with a draw string.  The 52" straps are adjustable so it's really easy to wear this bag as a crossbody or as a shoulder bag.  I love the versatility this gives me.  I generally choose shoulder bags but if I'm in the mall or hunting up some good flea market finds, I prefer the crossbody for security. The Quick Draw is nice and roomy and includes two outside magnetic cargo style draw string pockets and one zip and three slip pockets inside. I love the multiple pockets because they're perfect for my cell phone, keys, etc.

This bag is nice and roomy and easily holds all my stuff along with a few extras like a snack or light shawl.  I can even slip my DS inside for those long waits at the doctor's office.  The Quick Draw is very reasonably priced at $68 so I don't feel bad about treating myself to a new bag.
